The Together Plan is thrilled to announce the development of our new Community Coffee Club, a unique global membership community set to launch in the coming months. This is more than just a newsletter or an event invitation; it’s a backstage pass, a social circle, and a learning hub, all rolled into one.

This club is designed for you if you are someone who wants to:

• Know more about Belarus, its rich Jewish history, and its present-day community.
• Explore the wider Jewish world through fascinating, expert-led discussions.
• Meet up socially with a curious and compassionate global community, online.
• Go beyond the surface and get under the skin of our charity’s work on the ground.
• Learn more about the places your ancestors came from and support the work that preserves their memory.
• Be more involved and offer your skills and networks to support our projects.

We are building this club for you, and we want to hear from those who are interested in becoming founding members as we put the finishing touches on this exciting new initiative.

what does membership look like?

As a member of the Community Coffee Club, you’ll be invited to join us for four exclusive online meetings a year. Each 120-minute session is designed for connection and deep learning:

1. Members’ Hour (First 50 minutes): Drop in for an informal, intimate session with Debra Brunner, Artur Livshyts, and The Together Plan team. This is your time to ask anything, get insider updates on our projects and challenges, hear incredible behind-the-scenes stories, and get sneak peeks of little-known Jewish heritage sites in Belarus.
2. Coffee Break (10 minutes): Grab your drink of choice—coffee, tea, or something stronger! It’s time to chat and mingle.
3. Guest Speaker (Final 60 minutes): We’ll be joined by a special international expert on a captivating topic related to Jewish history, culture, or heritage. This session is open to the public for a fee, but as a member, you get access for free.

why is it called the Community Coffee Club?

Because community is everything! “Let’s meet for a coffee” is a universal invitation for connection, no matter what’s in your cup. We’re creating a warm, welcoming space for everyone, across all time zones. So, whether your ritual involves an espresso, a cup of tea, a glass of wine, or a vodka shot,  bring it along and join the conversation.

a special membership fee with meaning

We’ve chosen a membership fee that reflects our Jewish heritage and makes it accessible to our global community:

• £54 per year or $72 per year

Why these numbers? In Jewish tradition, the number 18 is profoundly significant. It represents chai (חַי), the Hebrew word for “life”. It is customary to give gifts and donations in multiples of 18 as a blessing for life. Our fee is set at 3 x chai (£54) in the UK and 4 x chai ($72) in the USA, symbolising our shared commitment to building a vibrant future for Jewish life in Belarus. The Community Coffee Club is warmly open to people of all faiths and none. And of course other multiples of chai beyond £54 or $72 are warmly welcomed!!
