This recipe was sent to us by Lena Livshyts who lives in Minsk, Belarus.
Ingredients
- 500g cucumbers (ideally Kirby or Persian variety)
- 2 cloves garlic
- ½ tbsp salt
- 1 tbsp dill
Method
Soak the cucumbers in cold water for a couple of hours, as this ensures they will be crispy.
Pat them dry and cut off the ends on both sides and cut lengthwise into 2-4 pieces or cut into circles (rounds).
Put it into a food container or in a polybag.
Add chopped dill, chopped fresh garlic and salt ideally sea salt.
Close the container/bag, shake and put in the fridge for 6 hours.
If you do it at night, the cucumbers will be ready by the morning.
