Following the excitement of our incredible crowdfunding campaign at the end of May, we are thrilled to bring you an update on the Brest-Litovsk Jewish cemetery project.

Artur Livshyts, our Country Director based in Minsk, recently visited Brest for a series of crucial meetings. He engaged with the Mayor of Brest to discuss the project’s next steps and met with the project architect and local construction officials. These discussions have been vital in shaping the path forward for this significant initiative.

The team is now in the final stages of addressing the technical elements of the project. This involves creating a detailed construction schedule and fine-tuning planning details concerning local services and road surfacing. Once these logistical aspects have been addressed, we will move on to finalising the materials with the designer, paving the way for placing orders and commencing construction.

This marks an exciting transition into the long-awaited pre-works phase of the project. The meticulous planning and groundwork being laid now will ensure a smooth and efficient construction process.
