in every endeavour we’re better together
We are only one month into 2023 and we have so much news to share. We bring you an extraordinary and compelling story of the journey of a sickly Soviet teen from Minsk, how he found Judaism and where he is today. We bring you news of our Holocaust Memorial Day events here in the UK and in Belarus, how our travelling Holocaust exhibition is making waves, and how we are bringing Jewish Belarus to the digital world. For parents of 13 and 14 year olds – it’s time to sign up to the Making History Together programme, and we now have a presence in the USA, so to our American friends please spread the word. In every endeavour we ARE better together.
the Soviet Jewish teen reviving Jewish life in Belarus today
A sickly boy from Minsk is sent to live in Nashville in 1991 to live with Jewish relatives. He doesn’t speak a word of English and he know nothing about being Jewish. What happens is quite remarkable. Who was that boy and where is he now?

Gilbert’s Ghetto Guides
The experience of Jews in the area that is now Belarus has its rightful place in Sir Martin Gilbert’s histories of the Holocaust. As a feature of our monthly newsletter, a short excerpt from his writings is featured focusing on one of the cities, towns, villages, and forests where Jews tried desperately to escape the Nazi German murder machine.

Belarus ancestry and archives - we can help
The Together Plan has been offering a fully bespoke, professional, archive research service for some years. Yet there has never been a more exciting time for people to connect to personal history – or for that history to have a greater impact on world knowledge!
Through our dedicated team of experienced archivists across Belarus, we have been astounded at the history we have been able to unearth over recent years, with an unparalleled richness of detail down to street names, livelihoods and even the animals people owned.
From the moment our team hears from new clients, we embark on a special journey together. With fragments of information about places, names and even buildings, we have been able to map back generations, providing a valuable glimpse into personal family history and all manner of information about daily life as it was.
