The Story of Brest-Litovsk (Brisk): A Tale of Tragedy and Triumph
Over the last two decades, approximately 1,250 gravestones from the desecrated Jewish cemetery in Brest have been recovered, each telling the story of a vibrant community that once thrived. This summer, these gravestones will become part of a stunning memorial park, transforming loss into a beacon of remembrance and renewal.

Why This Memorial Matters
Commemoration for the Present and Future:
The memorial park will provide the Jewish community in Brest with a sacred space to honour their ancestors, fostering connection and continuity.

Connection Across Continents: For those with ancestral ties to Brest, this project creates a meaningful bridge to the past, ensuring their heritage is never forgotten.

A Cultural Landmark: As part of the Belarus Jewish cultural heritage route, the memorial will enrich the nation’s history and promote understanding of its diverse past.

A Stand Against Oblivion: By restoring this cemetery and its stories, we confront the past’s atrocities and resist the rising tide of antisemitism today

Together, let’s ensure the Brest-Litovsk Jewish Cemetery is no longer hidden but proudly restored as a symbol of memory and renewal.

The Together Plan
preserving the past, building the future, changing lives for the better!
