Making History Together – Newcastle exhibition and special events

The Making History Together Travelling exhibition launched by The Together Plan in 2022 commemorates and promotes learning about the Holocaust in the German-occupied Soviet Union with a focus on Belarus. Approximately 2.7 million Jews  were killed in the Soviet Union during the Holocaust, however, this history is little-known.

The Making History Together programme is about remembrance, it is a journey of discovery, it’s about learning how to be a changemaker, and exploring how to be the best version of ourselves. We do this by understanding and exploring themes within this history.

The theme of Holocaust Memorial Day this year is the Fragility of Freedom and this gives us a chance to explore how we can all work together to promote change and safeguard our freedoms.

The exhibition will be open for a public audience throughout the week and will also feature a number of special events. In addition there are opportunities for school workshops. Booking details for the events and school workshops are below.

Recommended to bring a mobile device and headphones to enjoy the interactive elements of the exhibition.
