This month, in partnership with JLeague, we hosted a spectacular fundraising sports event that brought together 200 enthusiastic participants for the Charity Summer Champions Cup, a five-a-side football tournament that created a buzz of excitement throughout the community.

JLeague, a leading organisation in Jewish football, is renowned for its inclusivity and weekly events for both men and women. Their commitment to fostering community spirit was evident at our event. We were also thrilled to have Tony Webster from ATS Football Coaching, who led an engaging and actiona packed kids’ session, ensuring even the youngest attendees had a fantastic time.
To support the players throughout the morning, we had Alex Lubel from the Osteopathy Centre and Yashoda Vekaria of Yakseva Massage Therapy. Their presence and services were a superb addition, much appreciated by all the participants.

Adding to the excitement was the special appearance of Tom Cleverley, the Watford FC Manager. Tom was incredibly generous with his time, giving interviews, meeting players, and engaging with representatives of The Together Plan. He also had the honour of presenting the winners with their trophies, a moment that added a touch of professional football magic to the event.

The primary aim of the Charity Summer Champions Cup was to bring people together in the spirit of community and togetherness, promoting a love of the beautiful game and raising awareness and funds for our projects in Belarus. The event succeeded in not only providing a day of fun and competition but also in fostering a sense of solidarity and support for a worthy cause.
We believe that this event will grow over time, evolving into a community staple where players, their families, and fans come together, enhancing the feeling of unity and collective effort for the greater good.
