Belarus holds a rich tapestry of Jewish history – a story marked by both adversity and remarkable resilience. From producing the founding fathers of Israel to nurturing renowned artists like Chagall and Soutine, Belarusian Jews have left an indelible mark on global culture. Despite the horrors of the Holocaust and decades of Soviet oppression, Jewish life perseveres in Belarus today, sustained by dedicated efforts to support and revive our heritage.

At our new centre in Minsk, we recently celebrated a beautiful milestone – a Jewish wedding under a donated chuppah, made possible through our Aid Together program. This joyous occasion symbolises hope and continuity amidst a challenging history. Our commitment to supporting Jewish life in Belarus extends beyond ceremonial moments.

This month, we facilitated the distribution of matzah to Jewish communities across the country, ensuring that traditions are upheld and cherished. Moreover, through our humanitarian efforts, we loaded nearly 9 tonnes of aid destined for socially and economically disadvantaged individuals and families. This assistance is more than just material support; it is a lifeline for many, including Holocaust survivors and those with special needs.

Our outreach goes further, reaching isolated communities and providing vital resources to community centres. In a complex geopolitical landscape, we adapt tirelessly to ensure our beneficiaries feel connected, supported, and empowered.

As we navigate challenges, our mission remains clear: to nurture and strengthen Jewish life in Belarus. Each act of support, each gesture of solidarity, is a step toward preserving our shared heritage and uplifting communities in need.
