the aroma of heritage, the glow of community and the gift of giving
As the year draws to a close, we are delighted to bring you a newsletter rich with heritage, remembrance, and community. In this edition, we reflect on 400 years of Jewish life in Nesvizh and share exciting plans for the installation of two meaningful memorials in 2026. We take you to Brussels, where The Together Plan played a key role in a landmark European initiative to mark Holocaust sites, and to Italy, where our team contributed to the AEPJ Annual Incubator Conference, helping to shape the European Route of Jewish Heritage. Alongside these important developments, enjoy a wonderful feature on the ancient art of pickling, connecting us to the culinary traditions of our ancestors, and learn about our Thanksgiving and Chanukah Appeal, offering an opportunity to support our vital work.
We simply couldn’t do this without you!
All the best

Gratitude, light and community - The Together Plan’s Thanksgiving and Chanukah appeal
As the seasons turn to Thanksgiving and Chanukah, we are reminded of two powerful themes that unite these holidays: gratitude and light. Thanksgiving calls us to reflect on generosity and community, while Chanukah inspires us with the enduring power of resilience, hope, and illumination.

Reflecting on my first European Routes of Jewish Heritage incubator
When Debra Brunner first invited me to attend the AEPJ European Routes of Jewish Heritage Annual Incubator in Bologna, I felt a mixture of both excitement and curiosity. For me, this was my first time stepping into a room filled with people from across Europe who are involved in creating or developing a Jewish Heritage Route in their own country.

Artur Livshyts contributes to international seminar in Brussels on Holocaust memorialisation
Crossing four borders and travelling for two days to get there, Artur Livshyts, our co-founder and Belarus Country Director, participated in an important international seminar in Brussels this month, which focused on the marking and memorialisation of Holocaust sites across Europe.

400 years of Jewish Nesvizh
The Together Plan is leading a campaign to install two new memorials in Neszizh, a town with a rich Jewish history that came into being on the banks of the Usha river at the end of the XIII century.

A journey into ancestral flavours - food heritage matters!
Last Sunday surrounded by spices, stories, and shared experiences, Debra Brunner brought the food heritage of Eastern Europe to life. Through the simple, meaningful act of pickling, she reminded everyone present that food carries extraordinary power, the power to connect us to our past, to one another, and to the traditions that shape who we are.
