Embrace wall with the small fragments on top
the final steps to the Brest memorial – restoring names, rebuilding stories
This month at The Together Plan, we are thrilled to bring you a powerful lineup of stories that highlight remembrance, resilience, and innovation. We share the incredible marathon effort underway to complete the Brest-Litovsk Jewish cemetery memorial, honouring lives and preserving memory. In Belarus, our team marked the official Day of Salvation and Liberation — a moving day of return and reunion as the last surviving child of the Minsk Ghetto hidden in Porechye returned to the village to honour the brave souls who sheltered them. We reflect on the inspiring conclusion of our Making History Together programme, which has sparked a new passion for hidden history among the next generation. We also explore how The Together Plan is embracing innovative digital strategies to make cultural heritage more accessible and engaging. And finally, we bring you a fascinating feature on a filmmaker whose groundbreaking work is uncovering forgotten Holocaust killing sites and restoring names and stories once lost to time. Dive in and join us on this journey of memory, meaning, and hope for the future.
All the best

Making History Together - a journey into hidden history and empowering the next generation
At The Together Plan, we believe that history isn’t something we learn just for the sake of knowing — it’s something we must use to shape a better, more just future. Find out how our team is inspiring the next generation in a new and exciting way through hidden history.

exploring the future of heritage through a digital lens
Will the world of apps and innovative digital strategies help draw more people into the fascinating world of cultural heritage? By adapting heritage initiatives to meet the needs of society and support human progress and quality of life, we can unlock the full potential of heritage as both an asset and a source of individual and collective memory. The Together Plan is playing a part in the innovations in this field.

One filmmakers’ commitment to tracing missing memory
For nearly two decades, Israeli filmmaker Boris Maftsir has devoted himself to a part of Holocaust history that has long remained in the shadows. Maftsir has uncovered forgotten killing sites, restored names once lost to time, and opened a window into the largely unrecorded Jewish experience of the Holocaust in the former Soviet Union.
