Yuri Foreman, Israeli professional boxer, held the WBA super welterweight title from 2009 to 2010. He was born in Gomel, Belarus, moved to Israel as a child and currently lives and trains in New York. During his boxing career, he pursued an interest in relgious studies and in 2014 was ordained as a rabbi. He has been referred to as the “Boxing Rabbi”.
It was in New York where he met Shoshana who went on to become his wife and coach.
From Belarus to Israel to America, Yuri has been on an extraordinary life journey.
In conversation with Yuri and Shoshana will be a fascinating chance to find out more as they share their stories with us.
Funds will be raised in support of community projects at the Polotsk Community in the north of Belarus and the sending of humanitarian aid.
