My Great (and Short) Great Grandfather, Eliezer Ben Yehuda, and the Revival of the Hebrew Language – POSTPONED

Unfortunately, due to the fast changing, international situation, we have decided to postpone this event. If you would like to receive the rescheduled event date and time, once it is confirmed, please sign up to our newsletter at the bottom of this page.

Gil Hovav, an Israeli author and publisher, reveals the real story of the revival of the Hebrew language, from a personal point of view.

Hebrew was practically dead for 2000 years. The man who revived it almost single-handedly was Eliezer Ben Yehuda (from Luzhki, Belarus), one of the founding fathers of Zionism. Gil Hovav, his great grandson, tells the story of this unprecedented miracle through the little secrets that were kept by his family for more than a hundred years.
