GOLDA
Join us for this very exciting pre-release charity screening of the film GOLDA.
On the 6th October 1973, the day before Yom Kippur, Egyptian and Syrian forces started to mass on Israel’s borders. As Israeli Prime Minister Golda Meir’s (Helen Mirren) Government Ministers and Military Generals fell apart around her, she had to rouse herself, at 75 and suffering from lymphoma, to save her country from destruction. GOLDA is the story of Israel’s first female Prime Minister and her determination to save her country at the cost of her health- standing up to Henry Kissinger (Liev Schreiber) of the USA, the Russians, the Arab neighbours and her failing Generals.
Michael Kuhn, the producer of GOLDA, will be introducing the film.
