DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Tuesday 26th September\n17.00 – 18.30 BST, / 19.00 – 20.30 Minsk and Israel / 12.00 – 13.30 EST / 09.00 – 10.30 PST \nBetty Brodsky Cohen, our guest speaker, is the daughter of Fania (Fanny) Dunetz Brodsky, one of the escapees from the Novogrudok Forced Labour Camp in Belarus. \nBetty will talk about her book “Tunnel of Hope: The Great Escape from the Novogrudok forced Labor Camp” which is due for publication this autumn. It tells the story of the most successful prisoner escape of the Holocaust era, and the 200m long tunnel, the longest hand-dug tunnel of World War II, planned and executed by Jewish prisoners under the noses of their Nazi captors. Most importantly, the book is about the incredible true story of the individuals who participated in the Novogrudok Tunnel Escape in September, 1943. One hundred and thirty of the escapees survived the escape and 107 of them joined the Bielski Partisans.
